Good morning Bahrain, this is Newzak. We bring you local news every morning at 7AM.
3 years for 15BD
Back in September 2025, two men posed as police officers in Nuwaidrat, pulled a 41-year-old out of his car, assaulted him with a knife and robbed him of BD 15. The suspect was caught on surveillance footage and is now back in court. Three years in prison for BD 15.
Free Mug Alert
Dkakeen Al Souk at The Avenues is running a stamp card promotion until April 30. Shop at The Souk, collect 6 stamps, get a limited edition mug. Pick up your stamp card from Customer Service at Gate 5.
Beyon Dividend
If you own Beyon shares, mark April 20 in your calendar. The company approved a full-year cash dividend of 32.5 fils per share at yesterday's AGM. Total payout: BD53.9 million across all shareholders.
Priority Service
Al Salam Bank has introduced priority service for frontline workers, providing faster banking in branches and a dedicated call center line. A small but meaningful gesture for the people who've had the toughest few weeks.
Bahrain Football League
With seven league games left, Al Khaldiya sit top with 39 points. Muharraq are two behind, Riffa three. Any of them can win it. King's Cup semi-finals land on April 10 and 11 Al Khaldiya face Riffa, Muharraq take on Al Ahli. The next month of Bahraini football is unmissable. Personally I support Riffa.
Factak: Bahrain's Royal Golf Club was built around active oil drills. You can literally tee off next to an oil well.
The camel wishes you a good morning!
