Good morning Bahrain, this is Newzak. We bring you local news every morning at 7AM.
Failed Burglary
Police arrested seven suspects in a major burglary case. The group targeted homes that had been left unattended by their owners, stealing gold, watches, and other valuables worth a total of BD 800,000. Looks like they couldn’t wait for GTA 6 to be released.
Diamond for Yara
Hospitalia by Yara has received Diamond-level accreditation from the NHRA. This marks a significant step forward for healthcare in Bahrain, bringing the country closer to becoming a regional hub for medical tourism.
Suq Makeover
The historic Manama Souq is getting a makeover. Work has already begun, and the redevelopment of Bab Al Bahrain is on track for the fourth quarter of the year. The aim is to modernise the area while preserving its cultural heritage.
Where is the gold?
The price of gold has fallen sharply in recent weeks, signalling a potential investment opportunity for savvy investors. However, there simply isn’t enough gold available to meet demand. This is an issue I encountered myself even before the war, and it has only worsened due to ongoing air and shipping disruptions. I also believe many jewellers purchased gold at higher prices and don’t want to sell at current levels.
No Parking Here
Residents have done it! Trucks carrying gas canisters can no longer park in Isa Town neighbourhoods. It’s not safe to have them near homes and schools, where any accident could put an entire community at risk.
Factak: Bahrain won its first olympic gold medal in 2016. It was Ruth Jebet in a 3000M steeplechase.
The camel wishes you a good morning!
